PERRY SOFTBALL TEAM POISED FOR DEEP POST SEASON RUN

The Perry High School softball team is 13-4 heading into Tuesday night's game at Lake, and the Panthers 7-0 Federal League record is good for first place with a three game lead over the nearest competitor. If recent history is any indication, it wouldn't surprise anyone if coach Scott Daugherty's squad were a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming Division I tournament.

ORRVILLE'S HANNAH PLYBON FINISHES STELLAR BASKETBALL CAREER AT AKRON

Orrville native Hannah Plybon recently completed four solid years as a starting guard on the University of Akron Women's basketball team. Although she helped lead the Zips to the program's first ever NCAA tournament and two NIT bids during he college days, she didn't turn her full attention to basketball until her junior year in high school.

JACKSON BASKETBALL EYES SECOND DIVISION I STATE TITLE

The Jackson High School boys basketball team is looking to claim the second Division I State Championship in program history this weekend in Columbus. The Polar Bears (26-2) face Lakewood St. Edward (23-5) Friday night at 8:30 inside Ohio State's Jerome Schottenstein Center. Undefeated and top ranked Cincinnati Moeller (27-0) tangles with Central Ohio juggernaut Pickerington Central (26-2) in the other half of the Division I Final Four at 5:15. The two winners square off in the title game Saturday at 8:30.
