Doug Davenport Service Award Winner January 14th, 2021

We are happy to announce a new award we will be giving out at Big Time Sports. The Doug Davenport Service Award. Doug Davenport was a fixture in Stark County hoops. He volunteered his services to a variety of schools like Jackson, Timken, McKinley, and GlenOak. He would devote countless hours helping young athletes hone their craft and improve not only their basketball skills but life skills as well. He loved basketball and helping young people succeed. Doug passed away in 2020 but his memory lives on and we look to honor that memory by honoring a student manager each week from schools across Stark County. At the end of the basketball season we will give out the award for the most deserving honoree.

Our first award winner is Kaden Pascu the student manager for the GlenOak Golden Eagles boys basketball team! Kaden shows up to everything to help out his teammates and the program. His positive attitude always stands out to coaches and players and makes the day more enjoyable, especially after a tough game or practice. He's willing to take on any task for the program to help the team reach it's potential. Kaden loves playing one on one with players from the team. Congratulations Kaden on this award and everything you do for the GlenOak Golden Eagles program!
